The Not So Hidden Code

A Brief Guide to Communication and Understanding Others

Written by Agata Davies, Art by Beth A Forst

How can we create a world in which human communication is less complicated? This book is here for all of us, regardless of age or background. It is intended to create better individual experiences of daily communication by identifying words that are unconsciously chosen and spoken and by recognising the tone of these words. In addition, we uncover the code of involuntary movements that accompany spoken words: the unconscious, unchoreographed dance we all perform as we speak, listen, and respond to. Although you may not find all the answers here that you may be seeking, treat this as your guide through the communication jungle and as a starting point for the journey of curiosity and discovery of yourself and others, for the sake of our children and the rest of us, the so-called grown-ups.

Positive Communication Journal

By Agata Davies, Art by Beth A Forst

This journal is based on and best enjoyed with the book The Not So Hidden Code: A brief guide to communication and understanding others. It provides a valuable space for one’s thoughts, contemplation, and an occasional unfiltered rant (which we may all need occasionally). The journal also allows for dedicated practice and note-taking when learning to interpret verbal and nonverbal body language to improve our daily relations and experiences.
This is a great practice tool and a gift for anyone looking to improve their daily relationships with themselves and others.

‘Writing is just having a sheet of paper, a pen and not a shadow of an idea of what you are going to say.’

The Short Story behind TriPiora;

My name is Agata Davies. I am an aspiring author and creator of TriPiora Publishing, working through the exciting yet challenging world of book publishing. In 2020, I decided to write my first book. Very quickly, I became overwhelmed by what I got myself into and had to slow right down. The process of writing, editing, re-editing, checking, and correcting… took around 3 years (with a little break to care for one’s well-being). What kept me going was the fact that I wanted to share my knowledge and thoughts on the understanding of body language, or at least drive the point across of the importance of paying attention to our verbal and non-verbal interactions.

Only with time, as the book was gaining weight, it became obvious to me that the next step was as important as the guidance within the book. I have, therefore, communicated with amazing individuals who are willing to offer further support through:

· Online Life Coaching sessions based on, but limited to the Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques, and

· Family and Young Person Online Workshops that focus on spotting early signs of mental struggle or discomfort, providing tools and finding solutions.

I strongly believe that picking up “The Not So Hidden Code” will be the first step for many who are seeking a more peaceful and effective way of communicating with others. The journey may be challenging, as ‘digging deep’ could be required. This is because we must first get to know ourselves before we strive to understand others. However uncomfortable the journey (it does not have to be), the benefits cannot be overestimated! The rewards are here, should you choose to redeem them in the form of the book itself and the workshops/ life coaching sessions provided in the What Now chapter.

The Short Story behind TriPiora and its Three Feathers;

With self-publishing at its heart, TriPiora came alive to provide a starting point and a nest for myself and other unpublished authors. When going through the creation process, I searched for inspiration for the name and the logo. Both needed to feel personal. And then I saw ‘it’! The three feathers of my family crest. Oh, how wonderful, I thought. TriPiora got registered as a publishing body in no time. The logo was also sent for copyright approval and … it was denied, as the three feathers (which belong to many of Europe’s families who have/had a crest to their name) resembled, pretty much exactly, the feathers on the Coat of Arms of The HRH, The Prince of Wales. Needless to say, I stood no chance. I tried, though. Thinking that a hand-delivered letter (asking for permission to use the feathers) to the Lord Chamberlain at Buckingham Palace was a good idea, I faced the armed guards at the palace’s gates. Well, it was not. They smirked at my silliness and then said in no uncertain terms, that they do not accept hand-delivered letters and that if I send it by post, it will most likely be destroyed, too.

Accept the things you cannot change, they say. So, I did. The new logo with three new feathers was born. Maybe not very royal, but from the heart indeed.

Brought to you by TriPiora and other talented individuals who contributed to the creation of “The Not So Hidden Code” and any future books.
